(SymbianOne.com Press) Viderent, Inc. introduces the Message Puzzler™ for Series 60 mobile handsets to create a truly unique multimedia messaging experience

Redwood City, CA — Dec. 16th, 2003 — Viderent, Inc., an emerging developer of network driven mobile phone applications, announced the upcoming release of the Message Puzzler. The Message Puzzler is an enhanced messaging application for the Nokia Series 60 platform running on the open Symbian OS. The application is a recent grand prize winner of the Nokia Developer Challenge and a country category winner in the Nokia Series 60 Asia Challenge. The application is preparing for launch in Europe and the Americas, while launch in Asia is following close behind.

The Message Puzzler enables users to create unique puzzles from images captured with their mobile camera, intertwine them with text messages or other surprises, and send them via the emerging Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), a method for sending multimedia content over the mobile network. A great feature of the Message Puzzler is that the recipient can enjoy a puzzle message without the need to purchase software. The Message Puzzler is designed as a Peer-to-Peer messaging application and requires no special processing or management by the network operators. This allows the Message Puzzler to easily build on the excitement initiated by multimedia messaging. In addition, the application has use in promotional activities where coupons or access codes can be distributed and earned in an entertaining manner.

“The innovation of the Message Puzzler is based on its’ ability to seamlessly integrate with the phone’s messaging environment,” said Will Mulhern, President, Viderent, Inc. “Our approach enables the ease of customizing a message combined with immediate access and enjoyment by the recipient.” “Most importantly, it is a fun and interactive way to message someone.”

The Message Puzzler will be sold through Content Aggregator Portals and Wireless Service Providers worldwide. The application runs on handsets supporting the Series 60 platform, which Nokia has licensed to a group of the leading handset manufacturers, including Siemens, Samsung, Panasonic, and Sendo.
