iPhoneography Developer MEA Mobile Releases Professional Grade Vintage Video App for Windows 8 Print E-mail
Written by MEA Mobile
Friday, 09 November 2012

MEA Mobile announces the immediate release of its vintage super 8mm film treatment app, iSupr8 for Windows 8. Create and craft video with artisan filters to make it look as if they came from a time capsule.

With millions of downloads, iSupr8 is the premier super 8mm film emulator for the iPhone & iPad. The MEA team, spread across New Haven, Singapore and New Zealand has rebuilt the app from scratch to take advantage of Windows 8’s ground breaking capabilities. “There’s a lot of fire in Windows 8,” says Bruce Seymour, Managing Director of MEA Mobile. “Unique experiences such as using charms for settings and the way sharing is incorporated provide outstanding possibilities for app design.”

iSupr8 creations for Windows 8 use the Share charm to enable users to choose their favorite share point. “The share selections are based on what other apps you have installed, not just what our app allows,” says Seymour, “We like the level of control this brings to our growing user base.”

Described by The Next Web as Instagram for Video, iSupr8 was the first professional grade super 8mm film app available for mobile when released in 2011. "More and more filmmakers alike are using mobile apps in their films,” adds Seymour. Users can adjust all aspects of the film stocks including grain, scratches and burn customizing the output to their personal style.

  • MEA Mobile has an active user base with millions of downloads.
  • iSupr8 is the flagship of MEA Mobile’s suite of pro grade filmmaker Apps.

“Microsoft is excited and committed to working with companies such as MEA Mobile over the long term,” says John Richards, senior director of Windows App Marketing at Microsoft Corp. “Their passion for gritty tech on modern apps makes MEA Mobile a leader in the social video space.”
