U.S. Cellular Launches Postpaid Plans and Devices in More Than 460 Walmart Stores

CHICAGO, Oct. 24, 2012 -- U.S. Cellular (NYSE:USM)announced today that it will begin offering its postpaid service in
more than 460 Walmart stores across the country. Customers can select
from U.S. Cellular's value-packed plans and enjoy all of the carrier's
unique benefits, such as the only points-based rewards program in
wireless, no new contract after the first one ends and free incoming
calls, texts and picture messages.
"Bringing our postpaid service to Walmart provides consumers with
another option when they're shopping for wireless," said Carter Elenz,
executive vice president of sales and customer service for U.S.
Cellular. "We look forward to showing Walmart customers that a better
relationship with their wireless carrier is possible by providing the
best customer experience and treating our customers like neighbors, not
numbers."
U.S. Cellular offers a variety of plans that make it easy to select the
right amount of voice minutes, text messages and data, including single
line and family plans with unlimited voice and texts. Customers who
want to add data to their plan have five options to choose from
starting at $10.00 per line for 100 MB.
Customers can pair their U.S. Cellular plan with the device that best
meets their needs. Those looking for an advanced smartphone can select
the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S III or Huawei Ascend II. The
Samsung Chrono 2 and Samsung Freeform 4 provide the features and
functionality for customers who prefer to use their phone for calling
and texting. Customers should check their local Walmart store for the
complete list of U.S. Cellular devices that are available. All of U.S.
Cellular's phones are backed by its high-speed nationwide network,
which has the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any
national carrier.
Customers who purchase U.S. Cellular postpaid service in Walmart can
start earning rewards points immediately for things like faster phone
upgrades and free phones and ringtones. They can also register on My
Account at uscellular.com for autopay and paperless billing to save up
to 5 percent on their monthly bills.
