Microsoft and Nokia Cooking Something Up in New York Sept 5

So, what could Nokia and Microsoft be up to now? Word has it that a press event is being planned for Sept 5 in New York (even though we've not received anything official or an announcement/invite from Nokia...)
Speculation has it that it could have something to do with an acquisition, a new lineup of devices running WinMo, or even something to do with the Slate tablet?? Who knows...
This from TheNokiaBlog... Microsoft and Nokia are expected to announce something related to Windows Phone 8 at a joint press conference on September 5th. We’re guessing new phones running the new OS. Nokia World is also happening at the same time, but that event may be reserved for carriers and partners only.
