Munich based mobile cloud gaming company itsmy today announced the launch of its HTML5 gaming service for Set-top boxes and Smart TV.
Now gamers can play their Smartphone and Tablet games from itsmy also on TV without buying them again as the games are played online in the itsmy game cloud. Gamers have now full access to social features like friends lists, messaging, challenges and achievements while relaxing in front of their connected TV.
“In contrast to the online streaming services, we have developed our cloud platform in HTML5 which runs perfectly with low and high bandwidth. Our server side platform technology enables us to deliver on the fly the best possible HTML5 code to guarantee a high-class gaming fun.” says Jukka Saarelainen, CTO itsmy.
itsmy starts with 20 games of its own game catalogue which includes Classics like Solitaire, Chess and Poker as well as Casual bestsellers like the reflex game “Impossible Hit” or the high-speed-combo title “Diamoon City”.
The games can be played instantly on the TV screen via the browser with the remote control as well as with various Smartphone Apps of the TV- and Set-top boxes manufacturers. Almost all of the manufacturers count on HTML5 and thus support also the itsmy cloud gaming solution.

Gamers just need to direct their TV browser to: itsmy.tv and the cloud will automatically recognize the manufacturer, type and version of the Set-top box and/or Smart TV and deliver the available games catalogue.
“Cross- and multi-device gets a new definition. From now on the entire family can play against each other in the living room being connected via different devices like TV, Tablet, Notebook and Mobile Phones.” adds Sabine Irrgang, COO itsmy.
itsmy will release a distribution API for the Smart TV Solution for Mobile Game Companies worldwide by end of this year.
