Ok, you might read this and think, “here goes Glenn running on again about Nokia… yaya…” well sure, maybe I am but you have to admit the Nokia efforts to break in and salvage some business in north America is fun to watch!

 Honestly, I have absolutely nothing against Nokia the company, nothing against the hardware, etc…  there are, however, some questions though when you look at the Nokia sales channels, marketing efforts, and late entry into North American markets… oh, and then there’s Symbian but we won’t go there! This is a positive post though, particularly for those of you in Canada.

If you happen to be a tech/gadget lover, are in Canada, are social media savvy, love photography, and are interested in toting around the latest in technology then you might want to take notice of Nokia Canada’s recent announcement of the Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 devices which are coming to Canada. The Lumia lineup is the first iteration of Nokia smartphones to be running on Windows Phone. By grabbing one of these devices you’ll likely be the first on the block to own one and you’ll likely be one of the few on the train in the morning and be turning some heads with the gadget also.

In typical Nokia manner, these 2 devices are very stylish, built tough, are powerful, sport an awesome camera with HD video capabilities, have awesome integrated mobile navigation and maps, deliver incredible sound from your media and multi-media, and have awesome built-in social networking capabilities. How to get one? According to Nokia Canada…  The Nokia Lumia 710 will be available this February for $49.99 on select 3-year plans as part of Rogers’ Smartphone Lite lineup of affordable devices. The bold Nokia Lumia 800 will be coming soon only to TELUS in black, as well as cyan and magenta options for customers looking to stand out from the crowd.
