First two smartphones based on Windows Phone introduce a range of new experiences designed to make everyday moments more amazing

oronto, CAN - Today, Nokia Canada announces the availability of the first two smartphones in the Nokia Lumia family, the Nokia Lumia 710, available exclusively at Rogers Communications, and the Nokia Lumia 800, available only at TELUS.  The affordable Nokia Lumia 710 was designed to make the Nokia Lumia experience accessible to more people around the world and at launch was widely praised as the best Windows Phone experience at its price point. The stunningly social Nokia Lumia 800 features familiar Nokia elements like head-turning design, vivid colours, outstanding  Carl Zeiss imaging capabilities, and a unique unibody construction.

Based on the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango release, the Nokia Lumia smartphones are designed to appeal to people with active social lives and combine the powerful social and Internet experience of Windows Phone with the ability to take pictures in almost any conditions and share with friends in seconds, as well as access to thousands of the most popular apps, including exclusive Nokia experiences.

Both smartphones come equipped with the signature Lumia experience, Nokia Drive, which delivers a full-fledged personal navigation device (PND) with free, turn-by-turn navigation and dedicated in-car-user-interface.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will be available this February for $49.99 on select 3-year plans as part of Rogers' Smartphone Lite lineup of affordable devices.
