The weekly LBSzone social location news round-up billed as "The Social Location Report" was released June 8... enjoy this latest update os mobile, social, location technology
To start, some healthy mobile apps to share with you! Just this week a couple of new mobile apps have come available to iPhone users (see vendors for other platform support). Recall Nokia Sports Tracker? This app out of the Nokia Beta Labs from way back has matured over the years and is now a product of its own, even with iOS support. Sports Tracker (@sportstracking on Twitter) has a fabulous UI, strong social connect, and also has a powerful web client that extends to a number of mobile platforms, most reently iPhone - see more. Another goodie just reveled today, Nokia is celebrating and making available the handy and fun Nike+ GPS tracking app for free in the iTune store - limited time offer. At first impressions this is a sweet app with twitter and facebook connect, idea for any runner for keeping tabs of their workouts. These are but 2 of the many fine health smart apps that are available, definitely a boom area for mobile developers... hint!
