September 27, 2010:  San Francisco:  Leading Location-Based Services executive J. Kim Fennell, President and CEO of deCarta, Inc. will present the keynote speech at GPS-Wireless 2010, on Tuesday, October 5 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Fennell will look at the fast-growing location market, how it got to where it is today and where it is going - plus the implications, opportunities and challenges for companies in the location eco-system.

2010 has been described by many as the "Year of Location," with pervasive mobile location via GPS and other location technologies, rapidly expanding mobile LBS applications, and growing interest from advertisers in location-targeted messages. Fennell will look at how the location industry has evolved in the context of the broader mobile landscape and where the opportunities for local search, social networks, navigation and enterprise resource management will be in the future.

"The location market has more excitement and dynamism than I've ever seen. Kim Fennell and deCarta have played a key role in the success of many of the biggest names in the location market for over a decade", said Kevin Dennehy, GPS-Wireless Conference Organizer. "I am delighted to have Kim share from his experience and frame the discussion for a great day looking at all aspects of the industry."

The 14th Annual GPS-Wireless 2010, now at CTIA Enterprise & Applications, offers executives the opportunity to learn how to profit in changing location market, what are the best new technologies and what niches will succeed. There are panels and presentations from 30 current market experts.  In addition to deCarta, speakers include Sprint, Verizon, Nokia, Twitter, TripAdvisor, MapQuest, NAVTEQ, TCS, and many others.
