Open Mobile Summit Returns to London May 26 and 27 Print E-mail
Written by Open Mobile Summit
Tuesday, 02 March 2010

LONDON--Today Open Mobile Media announced the launch of its eagerly anticipated second annual London event which will take place this 26-27 May, 2010. "This is THE conference in mobile right now"

At the Open Mobile Summit London, global business leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs meet to debate the future of the mobile Internet marketplace, and the rapidly evolving roles of operators, handset OEMs, Internet, media and software companies.

"This is THE conference in mobile right now" Brandon Lucas, VP and GM Mobile, Black Entertainment Television.

Global publishing and entertainment powerhouses feature prominently in this year's agenda, in sessions exploring the ebook revolution and the future of publishing, new strategies for monetizing content, and the latest in cross platform entertainment services.

Since its launch in late 2008, the Open Mobile Summit has become one of the hottest on the mobile scene - not just bucking the downturn, but setting the stage for major industry announcements from companies like Palm and T-Mobile. Executive Producer, Robin Batt, says already this year a major Internet player, and a key device OEM, are planning to make the headlines with their announcements.

Keynote speakers will again draw both mobile and Internet industry giants, and include Olivier Baujard, CTO Deutsche Telekom, Olaf Swantee, SEVP, France Telecom, Alberto Torres EVP Nokia, Andrew Gilbert EVP Qualcomm and Håkan Dahlström, President Mobility Services, TeliaSonera.

To see the complete list of 60+ speakers, including other top executives from FT.com, Vodafone, Thomson Reuters, MTV, Spotify, Disney, Gowalla and Hungama, please visit:

"This is not another mobile web event, but a place where world-leaders can meet in an intimate setting to explore the future" said executive producer, Robin Batt. "Together we will build, and monetize, the open mobile economy".

The Open Mobile Summit is taking place 26-27 May at the Hilton Tower Bridge hotel in London. For more information, and to register to attend, please visit:

About Open Mobile Media

The Open Mobile Summit is produced by Open Mobile Media Ltd, an independent group founded by communications industry consultant Robin Batt.

"The Open Mobile Summit can be defined by the quality, seniority and breadth of experience of both speakers and the audience. It's certainly on my list of "must-attend" events."
