LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: Waterfall Mobile Partners With WaveMarket Print E-mail
Written by WaveMarket
Thursday, 25 February 2010

San Francisco, CA – February 24, 2010 – Waterfall Mobile, the leader in digital messaging software, announced today it has partnered with WaveMarket to enhance its Msgme and AlertU platforms with location-enabled messaging

WaveMarket is a world leader in mobile location-based platforms and applications.  Through its Veriplace® Cloud Location Platform, WaveMarket provides partners like Waterfall Mobile with a single API for developing location-aware services across multiple carriers.  Veriplace® is the only location aggregation platform that protects the privacy of end users and can access the location of all 125MM phones on the AT&T and Sprint networks with no application download required.  This is particularly valuable for SMS-based services like Waterfall Mobile’s that have broad coverage across both smartphones and feature phones.

Waterfall currently offers targeted messaging based on ZIP or area codes through its powerful, Web-based Msgme platform.  The location-based service enabled by WaveMarket will allow clients to accurately locate their subscribers in real time, offering GPS-style targeting based on latitude/longitude coordinates.  The new offering will give marketers precision targeting tools to further maximize their ROI in mobile messaging.

When paired with the company’s robust mobile messaging capability, this new offering establishes Waterfall Mobile as a leader in the emerging field of LBS (Location Based Services) messaging.

“Smart, targeted location-based digital messaging is the future of marketing, and that’s why I’m delighted to announce our new partnership with WaveMarket,” said Matthew Silk, SVP, Waterfall Mobile.  “Giving marketers the tools to responsibly leverage LBS (e.g. requiring explicit opt-ins and providing users with an easy ability to opt-out) is critical, but this is a huge opportunity for marketers, and we’re excited to now be offering this capability to our customers.”

Waterfall will offer the LBS package as an upgrade to all of its current package options.
