Showcase of Advances in Wireless and Practical Applications for Government and Industry - New Dates Announced for Wireless China 2010
January 6, 2010, Beijing - The Eleventh Wireless China Industry Summit will bring together wireless leaders from across the country to learn and discuss the emerging technologies, new trends, deployments and innovative applications. The Conference will be held in Beijing, from September 1 - 2, 2010 at the Beijing Landmark Hotel & Tower.
This summit is a meeting of radio frequency regulators, wireless developers, manufacturers, systems integrators and end users working towards a common goal of promoting the development and adoption of wireless. The organizer is the Radio Association of China (RAC). Supporters include the Radio Regulatory Bureau, Ministry of Industry & Information Technology; China Mobile; China Telecom; China Unicom; Ministry of Public Security; Ministry of Transportation; Civil Aviation Administration of China; State Administration for Radio Television & Broadcast; Wi-Fi Alliance; ZigBee Alliance; China Acadmey of Telecom Research; and TETRA Association. Over the past decade, the summit has increased awareness of evolving wireless standards, protocols and technologies and their commercialization.
At the forthcoming event, renowned authorities in wireless will be sharing their insights, knowledge, ideas and experiences from recent deployments, results of recent trials and exciting developments around the world with the audience. Over 1,000 delegates are expected to take part this year. There will also be an accompanying exhibition of the latest wireless technologies and networking systems. As many as 40 companies are expected to be exhibiting. Corporate support from companies who provide wireless products for use in carrier and private networks have joined forces to make this conference possible.
"Over this coming new decade, wireless is expected to continue influencing the way people work, live, transact, shop, communicate, socialize and entertain," said conference Chair Xi Feibo, Director General of the State Radio Regulatory Bureau with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. "The latest advances in microchips and wireless technologies are rapidly opening even more important and practical applications. In addition to the growth in research and development activities related to wireless, we are also seeing increased activities from such sectors as consumer electronics, utilities, telematics, medical and health seeking to embed wireless into real-world products and uses."
The conference will cover topics that includes but not limited to the following:
Wi-Fi World (organized by Wi-Fi Alliance)
Wi-Fi remain the most popular wireless technology given their robust demand worldwide and continuous enhancements. Developers and network experts are also widely embracing Wi-Fi. Come find out about the exciting new Wi-Fi innovations such as Wi-Fi Direct, 802.11n, 802.11k, 802.11v, 802.11u, 802.11a, 802.11bg, 802.11w and how their roll out will enhance the usability of Wi-Fi products, benefit users and expand the market even further.
Broadband Wireless, Enterprise Wireless LANs & Mesh WANs
For telecom operators, service providers, government agencies and private enterprises, it is critical to have ubiquitous access to the Internet, efficient access to data and network resources in order to perform their work or provision access efficiently. This session examines the various solutions for creating capable networks that deliver high performance and high sped connectivity for indoor and outdoor environments. Presenters will cover such topics as architecture, security considerations, backhaul, roaming capabilities, technology options and other issues.
Wireless Test & Measurement
Sophisticated test instruments that analyzes, inspects and performs diagnosis are more critical than ever to network operators and manufacturers alike looking to deliver quality services and products. This intensive session features the latest tools for engineers responsible for monitoring base stations, air interface, mobile station testing, electronic meters and other testing requirements.
Digital Trunking Radio/Push-to-Talk
Modern digital trunk radios based on widely recognized protocols such as TETRA, iDen, GOTA and GSM plays an important role in public safety, emergency response and other mission critical communications but which system is right for you? In this session you will learn about the latest features along with the different standards, encryption, deployment, integration and operational issues.
M2M Communications & Embedded Wireless
M2M is an area of growing interest as well as business opportunity for mobile operators, systems integrators and solution providers. This session provides an overview of the potential M2M market in China. Presentations will also cover M2M technologies such as wireless modules and sensors needed to develop applications like smart metering, tracking & tracing, remote monitoring, telematics, fleet management to name a few.
Wireless & the Internet of Things
As M2M proliferates, the world is about to witness a booming market for Internet of things. This session will be useful for mobile operators, Internet companies and wireless developers trying to diversify their sources of revenue by connecting every day consumer oriented objects onto the Internet and creating useful applications.
Spectrum Management
SDR, cognitive radio, reconfigurable radios and dynamic spectrum access technologies will be the focus of this session. Given the increased number of radio frequencies that needs to be supported, this topic will be of interest to manufacturers of wireless components, devices and finished products.
Wireless Technologies & Applications
Come hear keynotes and keynote panel discussions on the hottest wireless technologies and their applications. Presenters include Wi-Fi Alliance, ZigBee Alliance, Ministry of Public Security, State Administration of Film and Radio Television, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Rail, Civil Aviation Administration of China, etc.
