Nexage Announces Industry’s First Mobile Ad Optimization Program for Premium Publishers
Boston, MA – December 14, 2009 – Nexage (www.nexage.com), a leading developer of Mobile Advertising solutions, today announced the deployment of its AdMax solution for premium news publishers, including Reuters.com. Reuters.com now manages its global mobile advertising strategy using AdMax, an advanced ad-optimization hosted service that enables premium news publishers to generate maximum revenue from their mobile sites and applications.
AdMax maximizes mobile ad revenue by increasing ad-fill rates, increasing effective CPM (cost per mille [thousand]), and giving publishers direct control over how ads are served on their mobile sites. For premium publishers, it offers brand safety and configuration of advanced business rules across multiple mobile silos of web and apps. With Reuters.com, the company uses AdMax to manage and monetize all of its global mobile web properties and applications, spanning the U.S., UK, Brazil, India and more. All of these sites are available on the mobile phones at m.reuters.com.
“Given the scale and scope of our mobile business, we require a powerful tool to maximize revenue from our mobile assets globally while managing the complex set of technical and business requirements,” said Alisa Bowen, head of consumer publishing for Thomson Reuters .
“Nexage’s innovative platform gives leading publishers, such as Reuters.com, the capability to maximize ad-fill rates, providing a key revenue source for funding their expansion in the mobile marketplace,” said Dev Gandhi, CEO of Nexage.
The deployment with Reuters.com highlights what has been a very successful year of growth for Nexage. Despite one of the tightest capital markets in more than 70 years, Nexage secured US$4 million in Series A funding from BlackBerry Partners Fund and GrandBanks Capital in July 2009. According to Gandhi, as Nexage acquires more premium news publishers to join its more than 500 other news publisher customers, the company will continue to scale its mobile advertising platform to meet the needs of its growing global customer base.
