Leading Mobile Virtualization Vendor to Share How Mobile Virtualization Can Reduce Time-to-Market and Handset Development Costs
London - October 26, 2009 - Open Kernel Labs (OK Labs), the leading global provider of embedded virtualization software for mobile phones and broadband Internet devices, today announced that the company will be speaking at the Symbian Exchange and Exposition (SEE) in London on October 27th and 28th, 2009.
SEE 2009 is a conference where the Symbian community comes together to share, to create, to network, and to learn about the future of mobile.
Dr. Gernot Heiser, CTO of OK Labs, will be speaking on October 27th, 2009 at 13.30 in the Workshop Theatre. He will introduce mobile virtualization, covering the similarities and differences with virtualization as applied in the IT world. Dr. Heiser will specifically discuss how mobile virtualization enables quicker development, lower-cost phones, and faster time-to-market. The final portion of the session will cover the specific virtualization requirements of Symbian OS with respect to both technology and the contribution model defined by the Symbian Foundation.
