Gold Coast, Australia, 9 October 2009 - DreamSpring announced the availability of DreamConnect, an innovative and award-winning contact manager, introducing ground breaking technologies to Symbian S60 5th edition smartphone users.
DreamSpring today released its innovative and AAS MegaApp award-winning contact manager DreamConnect to the S60 community.
Following the success of its UIQ version, DreamConnect offers industry and platform first hierarchical sub-categories, business card display and KeyMatch, providing significant benefits especially to users who have a large contact database.
KeyMatch is a unique feature that replaces the virtual keyboard on 5th edition smartphones with a finger friendly, compact keypad, making contact search faster and easier by matching the letters represented by each keypress. It speeds up input and takes up less screen space than the standard methods used by S60 Contacts.
DreamConnect allows users the ability to find contact details in an instant using a variety of ways including fast filter, KeyMatch, global find and sort. Global find is an advanced search tool that allows users to perform a specific search on all text and numbers to locate information anywhere within their DreamConnect database.
The S60 version of DreamConnect boasts a technology breakthrough in categorising contacts: multi-level sub-categories. Thanks to hierarchical (tree structured) sub-categories, S60 users can now organise their contacts in a way that reflects reality. DreamConnect's categories contain all contacts assigned to them and to any sub-categories. This provides versatility and flexibility in contact management unrivaled by any other smartphone applications.
DreamConnect's unique business card layout displays contact details in a format that is clear and practical. Important and most frequently used information are presented first to allow at a glance viewing. It superbly manages screen space, using up to 75% less space to show the same details compared to the standard Contacts.
More details on DreamConnect for S60 can be found at http://www.dreamspring.com/products/dreamconnect-for-s60/dreamconnect-for-s60.html. A trial version is available at http://www.dreamspring.com/products/dreamconnect-for-s60/download.html for users to try before purchase.
On the release of DreamConnect S60, Managing Director Malcolm Lithgow says: "DreamConnect draws on the foundation and builds on the strengths of DreamConnect for UIQ. Porting to S60 has taken longer than we expected, but I am proud of what we have achieved with DreamConnect S60. We are looking forward to further improve the product to make smartphones more useable and help people to be more productive."
DreamConnect provides Symbian S60 smartphone users an effective and powerful way of managing their contacts. It is available for ?20 at www.dreamspring.com.
