Enter into Strategic Partnership to Provide Paragon's Most Popular Mobile Applications at the Samsung A-Store
FREIBURG, Germany-- Paragon Software Group, a leading software developer for mobile devices and desktop PCs, and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world's second largest handset manufacturer, announced that they have signed a partnership agreement to offer Paragon's mobile applications through Samsung's on-device Application Store www.samsungapps.com. Samsung mobile customers will be able to access the Application Store directly on their smartphones by simply selecting the Application Store icon. The Application Store will allow Samsung mobile users to easily discover and download a wide range of applications directly from their smartphones.
"Paragon's more than 120 products, especially the bestselling multilingual handwriting recognition software and multilingual `talking' dictionaries, are already well known to Samsung mobile users. Making the best products now available at the Application Store will be an additional advantage to the user since a convenient shortcut to direct download is available right on the mobile device, allowing users to discover new offerings without any intermediate step," said Kanghyun Kwon, Vice President of Samsung's Media Solution Center.
The first product lines from Paragon offered through the Samsung A-Store will include multilingual `talking' dictionaries from the world's top publishers (including the Concise Oxford English Dictionary, and bilingual SlovoEd English-French, English-Spanish, English-German and English-Italian series), the utility product line, and the company's number one-selling PenReader Touch - Paragon's multilingual handwriting recognition software.
The applications will initially be made available to Omnia and I8910 HD users, followed by Omnia II (Model Name: I8000) and OmniaLITE (Model Name: B7300).
