Handcase software and games coming to Symbian devices in 2009

Handcase has been evaluating migrating its extensive portfolio of Palm software and games for other mobile platforms according the Ricardo Garay, director of Handcase. And it has chosen Symbian.
Handcase's extensive catalog of products, that currently are available for Palm, will be available for Symbian devices during 2009.
Why Symbian? "It is the largest platform in terms of users, having surpassed Palm in terms of number of users. Windows Mobile will probably reach Palm's volumes, but Symbian remains sovereign in volume," Ricardo explains.
According Ricardo, Handcase will be assess a third platform, probably between Linux or Windows Mobile. But this will be for the future as Handcase has a catalog of more than three hundred products, so the migration to Symbian OS will not be easy nor quick. "For a small developer, who has ten, twenty, or even fifty products, migration to a new OS is easier. For us, with more than three hundred products, everything is more complicated. But we must make it clear that we will not abandon the Palm, we have plans to reach four hundred products for Palm," sets Ricardo.
