Handmark Powers News, Sports, Weather and Movie Listing Content for New and Unique Interface on Bell Mobility Smartphones
KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- Handmark, a global leader in the development and distribution of mobile media, today announced the inclusion of its Pocket Express news and information services within Bell Mobility's new user interface on select Windows Mobiler devices, leading with the HTC Touch DiamondT and HTC Touch Diamond ProT.
"Handmark continues to expand the reach of Pocket Express and we are proud to be a part of this new and unique interface Bell is bringing to its customers," said Evan Conway, executive vice president of Marketing at Handmark. "The new interface successfully delivers information and entertainment through a better mobile experience by making favorite services available to customers with two simple taps on the home screen."
Pocket Express delivers real-time news, sports, weather, and movie listing content bubbles within the new user interface, allowing customers to quickly and easily access up-to-the-minute information. Within each of the content bubbles, customers have the ability to customize favorite sports teams, stock tickers, news, weather locations, local movie theaters, and more.
"The Handmark content library gave Bell the ability to design a live home screen experience with two tap access to content bubbles including Top 10, business news, sport scores and more," said Nauby Jacob, vice president of User Experience and Content at Bell Mobility.
Overall, the new Bell interface offers more than 60 ways to personalize the main screen using different combinations of 25 icons (referred to as bubbles) including headline sports, news, video, over 70 radio channels, weather, horoscopes, email and more, providing quick access to content and services from their home screen.
