Seattle-Based PressOK Entertainment and Movaya in Joint Venture to Expand Rapid Mobile Game Development and Porting Contract Services - The East meets Far East venture doubles development capacity of both companies by partnering PressOK’s Russia-based development unit, Reaxion, with Movaya’s China-based team

SEATTLE-- Today, Seattle-based mobile game developers PressOK Entertainment and Movaya enter into a joint venture to share developer teams and proprietary rapid development tools to double their capacity to offer cost-effective mobile development services. PressOK’s contract development business unit, Reaxion, will lead this new East meets Far East venture. Reaxion’s development offices are located in Moscow, Russia and Minsk, Belarus, and Movaya’s team is in Chengdu, China. The venture allows both companies to quickly scale their development infrastructure without dramatically increasing costs.

With over seven years of experience in mobile game development and 75 products delivered, Reaxion in uniquely qualified to take outsourced mobile development services to the next level. The joint venture’s contract development services include: mobile application and game porting, mobile game and application development, and online and social networking application development.

“The mobile games and applications market has gone through both a consolidation of players and an expansion of next generation mobile entertainment-ready devices, such as the iPhone and the Blackberry,” notes Colin Prior, CEO of PressOK Entertainment. “These new lean companies need to lower the cost of development and porting to all these devices. With Reaxion and Movaya’s scalable development team and rapid development tools, we are well positioned meet the demand of developers and publishers.”

Reaxion and Movaya will be using Reaxion’s proprietary BRAVA technology to rapidly develop mobile games and applications in J2ME and automatically port them to other platforms, including Blackberry, iPhone, Android, BREW, Symbian and Windows Mobile. BRAVA significantly reduces time-to-market and increases the number of channels served for each application.

“Using standardized rapid development tools makes managing two teams of developers on two different continents easy,” says Phil Yerkes, CEO of Movaya. “Both Reaxion and Movaya are long-time players in the industry with highly trained teams ready to handle the most complex development projects.”

Reaxion has successfully completed dozens of contract development projects for some of the mobile industry’s leading publishers and content providers, including Hudson Entertainment, Smashing Ideas, THQ and Warner Music Group.
