Ok, I'm excited about this one... now the cool gang at SpinVox has added yet another excellent feature... simply dial a number, leave a message, and your voice message will be saved and encoded as text to your favorite social networks (Blogger, Twitter, etc...) ... brilliant!
There's no doubt that after today, Twittering or whatever service you prefer, using Ping.fm will be much more exciting. Now users can easily leave a voice message on their social networking services thanks to the Ping your messages service from SpinVox.
Here's how it works... first I just to http://ping.fm/spinvox/ and setup the appropriate preferences on my Ping.fm account.
Then, prepare to send your voice to Ping your messages! Simply dial 1 (202) 684-7653 for the USA or 1 (416) 628-4693 for Canada and speak your message. Your voice will be converted to text and posted to your social networks!
Leave your short message, then hang-up, wait about 2 minutes and your social networks (Twitter in my case) are updated leaving the text version of your voice message along with a link to the audio clip.
First I setup my preferences on Ping.fm -- then I call the number and leave a message from my mobile. I have my Ping preferences set to upload to Twitter and others. On Twitter my message appears as a normal textual Tweet, along with a link to a Voice Clip - hear my message here!
Here's my message as it auto appeared on my Blog (blogger)
I wait a bit then my social networks are updated! you can connect with me on Twitter via @gletham
Updates are also sent (optionally) to facebook!
My delicious bookmarks also updated - although sans description
From SpinVox Blog...
