Nuance has extended the beta of its new search and discovery application for S60 devices to 31 October.
T9 Nav allows users can find anything on their device by typing from the idle/home screen. For instance, if the user types '258' they are offered - as one of the matches - "Bluetooth". In addition to settings, the user can search for contacts, calendar information, applications, music, bookmarks, and much more using the familiar predictive text approach. Although it works from the idle/home screen, T9 Nav still makes all the relevant dial functions available

The new download also includes a fix to the MP3 issue reported on some devices in the original version.
The beta is available as a free of charge download from http://t9nav.com/ for S60 3rd Edition devices. The trial extension runs until 31 October 2008.
Testers who complete all 5 email surveys, conducted as part of the beta, will receive a 50% discount off the purchase price when the final version is launched.
