DeviceAnywhere™ today announced the new Forum Nokia Virtual Developer Lab (VDL), a remote testing service designed to significantly reduce the time and resources needed to develop, test, monitor, and deploy applications and content for Nokia handsets.
July 8, 2008
· The online service supports 40 of the most popular Nokia devices, including the Series 40 and S60 platforms, as well as the Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism, the Nokia N81 and the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic.
· The Forum Nokia VDL makes Nokia devices available online for members of the Forum Nokia community to test and monitor mobile content and applications on a real, remote handset without having to purchase a device.
· The real-time service allows developers to collaborate on projects from any geographic location, bringing better, higher-quality content to market faster.
· The service is available globally to all members of the Forum Nokia developer community.
· Once registered, users can access Forum Nokia devices within the VDL and press buttons, view LCD displays, listen to ringers and speakers, and tap touch screens, much like using a real, physical handset.
· To access the Forum Nokia Virtual Developer Lab, community members simply register by visiting http://www.deviceanywhere.com/nokia/welcome.htm.
