Orange Business Services is offering mobile access to Business Talk, its global voice service for enterprises that reaches a market-leading 102 countries.
service reduces mobile users’ international costs in 22 countries
PARIS-- As a fixed-mobile convergence service, mobile access enables customers to make international calls from their mobile phones over the Orange Business Services international voice network, regardless of the mobile carrier they subscribe to. Customers will enjoy benefits such as:
* significant cost savings: international calls are carried over the Orange Business Services voice network for substantially less than most mobile providers charge.
* most popular phones supported: Business Talk mobile access supports Windows and Symbian operating systems, and will soon support Blackberry. The service supports the broadest set of mobiles used by our target customers.
* easy deployment and use: the service is easily deployed using SMS messages sent to end users’ mobile phones from a Web site accessed by the customers’ mobile fleet manager. End users then click on the link in the SMS and download a self-installing script. End users can keep their normal calling routines because the script is smart enough to route calls to Business Talk when it is cost effective to do so.
* detailed usage reports: reporting is key to managing cost for mobiles. Business Talk mobile access provides the customer with detailed invoicing so that costs and usage can be tracked, monitored and cross charged to end users’ departments as needed.
“One of the main mobility support goals of IT in 2008 will be improving analysis of cost and usage trends to understand current-state usage patterns and predict IT support budget needs for the next 18 to 24 months,” according to Brownlee Thomas, Ph.D., Forrester, in a Jan. 2008 report titled “MNCs Will Prioritize Mobility Support in 2008.”
Mobile access is initially available in 22 countries where our top customers are located, spanning Asia, Europe and the U.S., and will increase to 28 countries by the end of Q2 2008.
