Samsung announces new Symbian smartphone with 5 megapixel camera - Samsung G810

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain - 11 February, 2008 - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd and Symbian Limited, today announced the Samsung G810, with a 5 megapixel camera. This announcement marks Samsung's seventh Symbian smartphone in seven months. Running Symbian OS™ v9.2, the Samsung G810 ensures the highest level of power efficiency and platform security.

The Samsung G810 has HSDPA connectivity at 3.6 Mbps, allowing users to enjoy multimedia features at higher data download speeds. The phone offers users seamless connection through Wi-Fi connectivity. Based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1, G810 users can also access a rich suite of applications on offer from the S60 applications library.

Samsung G810 will be available in Europe from March 2008.

The G810 has features of high end digital camera phone including 5 megapixel camera optical inner zoom and face detection. With the video editor application, users are able to edit images taken on the phone and share with friends and family without connecting to a PC.

The Samsung G810 is a slider phone with a metal brushed body. The large 2.6" TFT LCD screen offers a convenient environment when viewing content on the Internet or maps on the GPS navigation feature. The phone is equipped with a 3.5mm earphone allowing users to use their favourite headphones without using a separate adaptor.
