Company adds 100,000 WorldMate Live Members within Four Months of Launch, Highlighting Demand for Award-Winning Mobile Travel Service

Mobile World Congress 2008
LOS ANGELES-- WorldMate, Inc., the leading provider of mobile travel services for the road warrior and frequent flier, announced today a record year in 2007 in terms of growth, product announcements, corporate partnerships, customer sign-ups and renewals.

In September, the company launched WorldMate Live, the first mobile travel service to feature fully-interactive ‘push’ alerts for flight cancellations, delays and other important travel events. Within the first four months, WorldMate Live attracted more than 100,000 members spanning 153 countries, with the US, Canada and United Kingdom as the top three.

In 2007, WorldMate announced its switch to the Freemium business model across all smartphone platforms, including Nokia S60, Windows Mobile and Symbian UIQ. The Freemium business model provides customers with a variety of services for free and offers additional premium services for a monthly or yearly charge. This transition helped to drive over 700,000 new sign ups for the year and achieve a growth rate of over 100,000 new users per month, setting WorldMate as the leading mobile travel service worldwide.

WorldMate also closed 2007 with an unprecedented number distribution deals with several leading device manufacturers including Motorola and RIM™. Carrier business was further bolstered with distribution through AT&T Wireless and Vodafone, bringing the WorldMate service to frequent fliers across the globe.

“Travel is extending from the web to mobile,” said Nadav Gur, CEO of WorldMate. “2007 was a significant milestone year for WorldMate, helping to solidify our position as the leading provider of mobile travel services. We are excited about our recent achievements and look forward to continued success in 2008.”

For a complete demographics data sheet about WorldMate Live members’ base visit: http://www.wmlive.com/demographics. For more information or a free sign-up, visit http://www.wmlive.com.
