According to organisers of the Game Developer Conference (GDC), that Anssi Vanjoki, executive VP of Nokia’s Markets division, will offer a further look at the firm's N-Gage platform in the second GDC Mobile keynote.
Vanjoki’s keynote will "address how Nokia’s N-Gage made-for-mobile games service brings value for the games industry and how the company plans to accomplish connecting people through play". Nokia regularly uses the keynote slot at GDC Mobile to push its N-Gage platform to developer, first revealing the new service nature of the system at GDC06 - although the platform is still to launch fully.
“Bringing people together on a common platform works for the PC, consoles, and the web browser, and Nokia is well-positioned to bring a similar level of platform ubiquity to mobile games,” said Jamil Moledina, executive director, Game Developers Conference. “Giving developers the chance to create community experiences on any device is a key goal of the GDC overall, and so we are pleased to host Vanjoki’s vision for empowering our attendees.”
GDC Mobile runs from February 18th and 19th as part of the large Game Developers Conference, which takes place from February 18th to the 22nd in San Francisco. For more info on GDC and GDC Mobile see http://www.gdconf.com/
