LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6  -- Samsung Electronics showcases several of its groundbreaking, revolutionary global handsets at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show. These handsets make their U.S. debut at the show and exemplify cutting-edge technology and design innovation.

The Samsung SGH-i450 is a truly innovative music phone that offers a dual slider design and touch wheel music navigation. When the i450 slides up, the mobile phone supports powerful smartphone features with Symbian S60 OS. Running the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system, the i450 provides advanced download application and multitasking features in fast speed through HSDPA connectivity. When it slides down, the phone activates as a music player with touch wheel navigation which enables the users to control the multimedia menus easily. Moreover, metallic speakers supporting ICEpower(R) amplifier developed by Bang & Olufsen(R) offer superb sound quality to music phone users.

The Samsung SGH-G800, the world's first 5 megapixel camera phone with 3x optical zoom, is the answer for customers' needs to have the perfect digital camera and the multimedia mobile phone combined into one single device. A sleek camera phone, the G800 looks like a streamlined digital camera on one side and a fashionable mobile phone on the other side. The handset is equipped with advanced camera features such as face detection and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), and also provides a very easy tool for sharing images and videos. Plus, the Samsung G800 offers professional video editing functions so that people can easily cut, paste, and edit their own films, and a mobile blogging feature helps users to upload to their favorite User Created Contents (UCC) site very easily.

The Samsung SGH-i620 features a vertical slide design that reveals a full QWERTY keyboard. The i620 is a Windows Mobile 6.0 smart device that offers podcasting, RSS reader capabilities, music player and 2-megapixel camera.

The Samsung SGH-i780 is a sleek smart device featuring a full QWERTY keyboard and full touch screen. The Windows Mobile 6.0 device features push email, GPS capabilities, an optical mouse, 2-megapixel camera and HSDPA technology.
