mywaves Socializes Mobile Video, Enabling Global Community to Connect and Discover New Entertainment on the Go

mywaves' New Release Goes Live, Adding New Social Capabilities - Chat, Profiles, Favorites and More - to Popular Free Mobile Video Service

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 17 -- mywaves, the fastest-growing mobile video destination, today launched a major release of its free mobile video service that enables users to connect with their friends and the mywaves community, showcase their entertainment interests and share their favorites -- all from their mobile handsets. mywaves rolls out a completely new version of the popular mobile video service that's packed with an array of features to help its users discover content by connecting them to an international mobile community of people with a shared passion for entertainment.

Since its consumer launch one year ago, mywaves has amassed the largest mobile video audience in the world, with over 4.5 million monthly unique visitors. Users in over 175 countries use mywaves to access over 300,000 channels of video that include professional programming, user-generated content and personal videos. The new mywaves release was developed in direct response to user demand for social features and will help evolve the mywaves mobile video platform into one of the largest and most active mobile communities.

mywaves' new release enables users to create and share their profiles which feature what channels they like with friends or the mywaves community, allowing others to discover the content they deem hot or not. Users can also advocate their favorite Web video clips in a "Favorites" channel that they can easily create, share and promote. mywaves' new release also includes chat capabilities so that users from around the world can communicate with each other instantaneously. To appeal to its worldwide base, mywaves now includes new geo-targeting capability, which serves up relevant and regional content to people based on where they're tuning in.

"In our first year, we learned that free Web video entertainment on your mobile phone has huge global appeal," said Rajeev Raman, mywaves Founder and CEO. "This release was created in direct response to our users' requests to help them connect with other users so they can share what they like, find people with similar interests and leverage what others are watching to discover new entertainment to enjoy on the go. mywaves will continue to add more social features to provide more personalization and ways to communicate with people about each video throughout the year."

mywaves will be rolling out a host of features in 2008 that will offer consumers more personalization, flexibility and creativity in managing, sharing and socializing around their favorite mobile video.
