SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec. 17 - mywaves, the fastest-growing mobile video destination, closes its first year of service with users from 175 countries who drove an excess of 4.5 million monthly unique visits in November, nearly a four-fold increase since the company last reported traffic metrics in September. In wrapping up the year, mywaves today reports mobile viewing behavior on its service for 2007.

The mywaves channels that generated the greatest number of views worldwide featured music, comedy, and celebrity talent, particularly with a regional flair. Columbia Records' artist Wyclef Jean racked up nearly 1,000,000 views in a matter of weeks preceding his new release, Sweetest Girl. Ripe TV's mobile channels which feature comedy, cars, and runway models, garnered nearly 3,000,000 views in two months' time; and other top channels for the year were the Best of Bollywood channel with nearly 400,000 views, and Los Angeles-based DJ Skee's SkeeTV channel with over 500,000 views worldwide.

Even though mywaves users span the globe, their taste in entertainment is remarkably similar, regardless of the country from which individuals are viewing. Year-end viewing statistics are:
