Map mashups are everywhere, many of them are also mobile enabled, providing users with the ability to update and share their places from their mobile... findbyclick is just such an application - location-based intelligence and social networking all in one.
At first it may look like just another Google map mashup, however, look a bit deeper and this excellent application provides a very intuitive gateway where registered users can input and share all their favorite places.
Using the popular tags feature, users can quickly and easily identify places near them, perhaps public toilets, a Costco Store, theaters, restaurants and more. Even better, the user community can register and add their own favorite places along with reviews and comments.
Setting this app apart from many popular Google map mashups is the mobile client which supports most of the popular Symbian S60 devices like the Nokia N95 , E90, N80, N92 and several Son y Ericsson UIQ devices as well
Using FindByClick Mobile users can do the following:
- search for all content available at FindByClick.com
- submit a new point of interest
- update information about an existing point of interest
- fix the location of a point of interest
- delete an obsolete point of interest
See http://www.findbyclick.com and http://www.findbyclick.com/mobile/
