Quickoffice, Inc., the leading global provider of mobile office productivity software and solutions, and SoonR, a global leader in delivering remote access to computer files, applications and content across converged networks, has announced they will preview Quickaccess at The CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment Conference.
Quickaccess lets mobile professionals easily access, edit and share the contents of their laptop and desktop computers, including Office documents, slide show presentations and images, directly from their smartphones.
This preview will showcase how the solution allows all documents to be viewed with high quality and animations. The SVG Content Transformation Server, to be integrated into the SoonR infrastructure, will provide access, data optimization and compression. This technology is proprietary to Quickoffice and will provide the Quickaccess mobile client solution with superior display of each office document, PDF and photo viewed with the Quickaccess solution.
Quickaccess' synchronization engine will enable a user to access files and folders found on a PC desktop, whether the computer is turned on or off, and provides easy, secure access to that content through the Web site. The service automatically backs up files found on the PC and has an easy-to-use user interface. In addition, once the files are accessed, users can view and edit, and then 'push' them back to the desktop or to another location.
"We're excited to work with SoonR to bring this innovative solution to on-the-go professionals," said Paul Moreton, vice president of product management at Quickoffice. "With Quickaccess, we're providing a true mobile office solution that perfects both Quickoffice and SoonR's technology and gives our customers a high-quality solution that enables them to remain productive while away from the office."
The Quickaccess service will be available to Symbian S60 users in Q1, 2008. Users will be able to purchase Quickaccess over-the-air via Quickoffice's on-device e-commerce application. Additional platforms and distribution channels will be added later.
