Documents To Go by DataViz To Provide Office 2007 File Editing for Symbian Smartphones based on UIQ
Solution will be First to View, Edit and Create Word, Excel & PowerPoint 2007 Files On UIQ 3 and Symbian OS
Documents To Go to be showcased at Symbian Smartphone Show
DataViz®, Inc., the leading provider of Office compatibility solutions for over 23 years, announced plans today to release to the latest version of its award-winning mobile Office suite, Documents To Go® for UIQ 3.0 and 3.1 on Symbian OS™. Expected to ship in the fourth quarter 2007, Documents To Go Premium Edition version 4.0, will enable users to open, view, edit and create Microsoft® Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® 2007 files and attachments instantly. The anticipated release will make Documents To Go the first commercial solution in the UIQ mobile space to offer complete Office 2007 file support.
“The ability to seamlessly work with file attachments in a mobile inbox is a requirement for today's mobile professional. Lack of this feature erodes the perception and confidence that smartphones are a real business tool and a true laptop replacement on the road.” said Kathleen McAneany, Documents To Go Business Director, DataViz, Inc. “The upcoming release of Documents To Go will address the need to access critical attachments by providing mobile professionals with the ability to handle the latest Microsoft file formats. Fortunately, DataViz gives customers with Symbian smartphones based on UIQ 3 this power of choice.”
“Microsoft Office 2007 adoption rates continue to rise and the ability to open and edit Office 2007 file formats is our top customer request.” said Danny Tu, Documents To Go Product Manager, DataViz, Inc. “UIQ users will benefit from our solution as it stays true to the new XML- based Office 2007 file structure by retaining all file formatting through the use of InTact Technology.”
Symbian Smartphone Show
DataViz will be demonstrating Documents To Go and its Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync solution, RoadSync, at the Symbian Smartphone Show in London, UK, October 16th -17th. Those interested in learning more should attend the show seminar, “Mobilizing knowledge workers with Symbian based solutions in a Microsoft Office World” on October 17th at 15:30.

Documents To Go Premium Edition 4.0 for Symbian smartphones based on UIQ 3.0 and 3.1 is expected to ship in late Q4. The solution will retail for $49.99.
