Discretix Demonstrates Multi-Scheme DRM Client for Symbian over TI OMAP" Platforms Print E-mail
Written by Discretix
Tuesday, 16 October 2007
Discretix, the leading provider of embedded security and DRM (Digital Rights Management) solutions for mobile devices and flash memory, today announced that it would be demonstrating the Discretix Multi-Scheme DRM client for Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI's) OMAP™ platforms.

Discretix' Symbian offering integrated on top of the TI M-Shield™ Mobile Security Technology provides faster time-to-market, improved security and hardware acceleration for DRM.

Fully integrated with the Symbian operating system, the Discretix Multi-Scheme DRM Client takes advantage of TI's M-Shield™ security technology creating a robust, highly secure and future-proof DRM solution that shortens development time and provides DRM flexibility in mobile devices.

Discretix is participating at Texas Instruments' exhibit in Booth #9 at the ExCel Centre in London to promote the Discretix DRM Client with TI's OMAP and OMAP-Vox platforms to mobile device OEMs and application providers.

Discretix Multi-Scheme DRM Client supports the broadest range of major DRM standards including OMA DRM v2.0, Microsoft WM-DRM 10 and i-Mode DRM including CPRM/SD-Bind. In addition to support for these schemes, the technology is able to accommodate new standards as they become available.

Discretix DRM Client complements the capabilities of TI's M-Shield mobile security technology.

TI's market-proven M-Shield™ mobile security technology is a system-level security solution that intimately interweaves hardware and software mechanisms to provide the highest level of security. M-Shield mobile security technology is the key security element of the widely-adopted OMAP™ and OMAP-Vox™ processors, which are shipping today.

Discretix also invites you to attend a seminar presented by Raanan Tzemach - VP, Content Protection Business Unit Manager of Discretix - addressing implementation of a comprehensive content protection framework using the Symbian OS.

To view the demonstration visit TI's Symbian Smartphone 2007 exhibit at Booth #9 and see www.discretix.com/DRM for more information.
