Quickoffice, Inc., the leading global provider of mobile office productivity software and solutions, today announced it will demo the latest release of its award-winning mobile Office™ suite, Quickoffice Premier V5, at the Smartphone Show in London.
Symbian™ Smartphone Show to feature first commercial solution enabling viewing and editing of Word™ and Excel™ 2007 files on S60 smartphones
For the first time, users will be able to open, view, edit and create Word and Excel 2007 files and attachments on their S60 devices. Quickoffice v5 will be commercially available in December 2007.
The new v5 release reinforces Quickoffice’s commitment to mobile content leadership as it is the first S60 solution to offer complete Microsoft Office 2007 file support, including the new Office 2007.docx and .xlsx file formats.
“With Quickoffice v5, we’re bringing Office 2007 support to more devices than any other mobile software vendor and improving life for on-the-go workers across the globe,” said Paul Moreton, vice president of product management at Quickoffice. “As the worldwide leader in mobile office software, we are continuing to expand access to content on mobile phones and excited to be the first to demonstrate this in-demand new software at the Symbian Smartphone Show.”
Quickoffice enhances users’ lifestyles and increases mobile productivity by virtually eliminating the need to rely on a laptop when accessing Office content away from home or work. The software enables mobile professionals to benefit from optimized handling of all Office document files, including PDF files, and now offers a wide-range of robust features, which include multi-lingual spell check and superior document ‘round-trip’ capabilities to retain file formatting and maintain data integrity.
The demo will take place at booths #13-14. To schedule an appointment, please contact Amy Robinson or Katie Eakins at 619-677-2000 or Quickoffice.com.
