Scalado AB, a leading developer of mobile imaging software, announced today that it will be launching 6 new 'off the shelf' imaging applications, allowing its customers an even faster time to market.  Attendees of the Symbian Smartphone exhibition in London next week, (16-17 October) will be the first to see the new end user focused applications.  Visitors to the stands of Scalado and its partners - technology pioneers in secured contactless applications, Texas Instruments, and licenses and open software platform providers UIQ will be able to see demos over the two days.

These new applications are either "Ready-to-Install" or "Ready-to-Integrate". "Ready-to-Install" Applications are targeted for Open OS Smartphones, mainly Symbian OS (S60 & UIQ) and Windows Mobile, and require only localization, QA and final signing in order to go into production. They can also be OEM branded and delivered as White label apps. "Ready-to-Integrate" Applications or Imaging Components are targeted for any camera phone platform/OS and Scalado offers a professional service to help you integrate these components into any mobile application.

"We get many requests for complete applications from manufacturers, platform providers and operators, increasingly demanding 'off the shelf' applications to achieve an even faster time to market," said Mats Jacobson, CEO, Scalado. "This new series of products will not require CAPS SDK, as they have all necessary CAPS modules embedded.  We are looking forward to the Symbian show and delighted to be working with TI and UIQ to showcase them to a wider audience!" . The new applications include some innovative features that will enhance the overall experience for the camerpahone user, allowing them to be more creative with the images they take and view and store them in a totally revolutionary way. These include; innovative 3D graphic effects in the PhotoAlbum(tm) powered by SpeedView(tm), PhotoRama(tm) which is a ready panorama application. PhotoEditor(tm), PhotoCamera(tm) and PhotoTwister(tm) are other applications on show. PhotoFusion(tm) with several new face masks will capture your image to make you appear in a totally different situation.

"We are delighted to see how Scalado is innovating new applications  on TI's OMAP(tm) platform," said Markus Tremmel, worldwide wireless ecosystem manager, Texas Instruments.  "Enhancing the overall user experience in imaging is a key focus for TI. Working alongside developers like Scalado helps us to bring a more creative experience to the camera phone market."

Scalado will be demonstrating the solution at the Smartphone show 16tt -17th of October 2007, at Excel, London, at the Scalado stand 77, and will also be at the Texas Instruments stand 9 and the UIQ Technology stand 8.  Please feel free to drop by and see them, or alternatively please contact Andrew Ball (details below) to arrange a meeting, as CEO Mats Jacobson will be hosting press meetings on both days.
