Adobe® Flash Lite™ 2.0 is supported by Sony Ericsson's latest Java™ Platform 8 (JP-8) phones – the K850, V640, W910 and Z750 – and the new Flash Lite 2.0 Developers' Guidelines summarize specifications and compliance in addition to giving some general design considerations.
Adobe Flash Lite 2.0 is based on the Flash Player 7 and supports most of its features, and also has some additional features suitable for mobile development. Part of the ActionScript 2.0 command set is also supported. In comparison, Flash Lite 1.1 is based on a Flash 4 structure.
The new Developers' Guidelines document presents how Sony Ericsson phones support Flash Lite 2.0 in the following sections: |
- Flash Lite in Sony Ericsson phones: an overview of the two main implementations enabled, the "stand alone" and "browser based" models
- Compliancy: the Sony Ericsson K850, V640, W910 and Z750 comply with Flash Lite 2.0 apart from the exceptions listed in this section
- Phone features: a grid of phone specifications and features relating to Flash Lite 2.0 support
- General design considerations: a list of eight issues that need to be considered when making Flash Lite-based content for mobile phones
