An evening or two with S60 - Save the dates Print E-mail
Written by Glenn Letham
Wednesday, 03 October 2007
No doubt you've heard but once again I'd like to remind you about the upcoming Evening with S60 events planned for the near future. As luck will have it, your truly will be in San Fran at CTIA so I'll be able to finally attend one of these way cool events... perhaps you can make it too.

The S60 blog has a friendly reminder about the S60 San Fran lovefest, scheduled very nicely to coincide with CTIA Wireless - the event does clash with a couple of other shmoozefests (like the big Pepcom gig) but any S60 fan will no doubt make the effort to get to this one and connect with the S60 marketing team and see the latest product offerings up close and in person. I'll be there, N95 in tow and clicking photos, provide that my battery actually lasts into the evening! On a side-note, this past week I made it until 2 PM in the afternoon on a battery charge while attending Adobe MAX... rather disapointing to say the least so hopefully I can cry on the shoulder of one of the S60 marketing people and listen to their suggestions.

According to the team, here's the agenda for the event:

    * Food & drinks
    * Network with other S60 and mobile enthusiasts from the area
    * Share your S60 experiences with our engineers, architects and marketers
    * Hands-on with all the latest S60 devices including the N81 and N95 8GB
    * One-on-one demonstrations and presentations
    * Cool giveaways
    * Passes to a TBA after party at a nearby club
    * Much, much more!

An Evening with S60 (San Fran) is scheduled for Tuesday October 23 at the Elements Lounge, 1020 Geary Blvd. See here for a map, captured using Nokia Maps on the Nokia N95!

To register for the event CLICK HERE  - I'l see you there!

For photos from previous S60 events see this Flickr... hey S60 photo team, you might want to start adding some geotags to your photos using an application like locr or zonetag!

You can follow me and see my photos from this and many other events on my Flickr

Can't get to CTIA Wireless and an Evening with S60 in San Fran? Perhaps you plan on attending the Symbian Smartphone Show in London... hey, your in luck because the S60 team has wisely scheduled an evening with S60, London to take place  October 23. Here's the skinney from the S60 blog... An Evening with S60 (www.s60.com/london) touches down in London on Tuesday October 16th from 19.00 to 22.00 at Smiths of Smithfield in the City (nearest tube stations Barbican, Farringdon and Chancery Lane). It'll be an evening of good food, good people, good fun and of course...great technology!

Note - the Symbian smartphone show runs Oct 16-17 in London!

 Register for this one by visiting http://www.s60.com/london
