 Jump Start 2008 By Hearing What’s Happening From Giants in Mobile, Entertainment, Marketing and the Internet!

Hong Kong – Oct. 2, 2007 - -  Organized by Beacon Events, the Mobility World Congress (www.mobilityworldcongress.com), slated for Dec. 3-6, 2007, in Hong Kong, will feature exhibitors and program tracks focused on all aspects of mobility including entertainment, marketing, Internet and technology.  Sponsored by Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, QUALCOMM and ZTE among others, the Congress offers delegates the opportunity to hear first-hand from a wide variety of industry experts, including 50 telecom operator case studies, on what has happened in the industry as well as what will be happening in the future.

          “The Mobility World Congress is Asia’s only event that fully embraces all technologies within the world of mobility offering all participants the unique networking opportunity to meet leaders from the mobile, entertainment, marketing and Internet marketplace,” said Daniel Kirwin, Managing Director, Beacon Events. 

          The Congress will consist of two afternoons of keynote addresses with the first afternoon highlighting the issues facing the converging worlds of mobile, entertainment and the Internet.  The second afternoon will focus on next-generation networks and technology architectures.

 The Mobility World Congress also features a number of special interest session tracks:

·         Mobile Broadband Deployments: featuring discussions surrounding WiMAX, EV-DO, TD-SCDMA, 4G Networks and enhanced 3G Network Strategies

·         Emerging Business Models: featuring sessions regarding mobile advertising, MVNO’s perspectives, mobile VoIP, multi-play digital convergence

·         Wireless Devices: discussions surrounding multimedia handsets, user interface, Smart connected devices, iPhone, chipset enhancements

·         Network Evolution: operators’ perspectives, IP transformation, WiFi 802.11s Hot Spot, beyond 3G evolution and future directions in ubiquitous city and muni-wireless alternatives

·         Next-generation Services: tapping into the opportunities of IM and advanced messaging, total view of FMC, mobilizing social networks and learning from MMS and PTT launches

·         Emerging Market Opportunities: balancing of business opportunities, key spectrum policies, 3G challenges and understanding the customer

 This year, Mobility World Congress serves as a co-located event to a number of partner events including:

·         MEF LIVE Dec. 4-5, 2007:  hosted by the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), this two-day industry event will delve into the variety of options and content available in the region and discuss how Asian and international mobile entertainment players can enjoy successful market expansion.

·         Mobile Marketing Forum Dec. 6, 2007: Hosted by the Mobile Marketing Association, this event will discuss what’s hot, what’s not, what the options are and most importantly, how to integrate mobile into cross-media initiatives.

·         WiMAX Strategy Day Dec. 6, 2007: This one-day specially focused session will bring the latest updates on key WiMAX projects and fresh industry perspectives on this promising technology.
