Top content providers and industry leaders gather to share key insights into the smartphone content consumer

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 24 -- Handango(TM), the world's leading provider of smartphone content, will hold its seventh annual Handango Partner Summit this week at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California. For two days, this premier, invitation-only event brings together the industry's leading mobile content providers, handset manufacturers, wireless operators, platform vendors and other influencers from around the world to discuss current and future opportunities in the mobile content market.

The 2007 Handango Partner Summit features in-depth presentations from leading OEMs and carriers, as well as networking sessions and small-group workshops. Tim Sanders, author of "Love is the Killer App" will serve as the keynote speaker for the conference while Will Hodgman, CEO of M:Metrics will be the featured speaker on the second day. Members of the audience, who are representatives from Handango's top content partners, will also hear from Handango executives and speakers from the companies sponsoring the event, including Microsoft, the Platinum Sponsor.

"Mobile content is driving the usage of smartphones, providing consumers a wide range of personalized functionality. This year's Handango Partner Summit is an opportunity for industry leaders to share and discuss insights into the evolving smartphone consumer and marketplace," said Randy Eisenman, chief executive officer of Handango.

During the Partner Summit, Handango also will honor the best in mobile content with the Handango Champion Awards, presented during a special event on September 26. The award finalists were nominated by Handango customers and judged by a selection of industry experts and members of the media.

"Microsoft is committed to partners like Handango who help our customers realize a rich user experience on the Windows Mobile platform," said Daniel Bouie , senior product manager, Windows Mobile Developer Program. "For the past seven years, we have been a Platinum sponsor of the Handango Partner Summit and are pleased to provide continuing support to one of our valued partners in the mobile software space."

Gold sponsors are ACCESS, Inc., Kingston Technology Co., Forum Nokia, Research in Motion (RIM), HP and Symbian. Additional sponsors include Alltel Wireless, Motorola, Rave Technologies and Sony Ericsson.
