Sony Ericsson's latest UIQ 3 code sample offer insight into using the alarm server to handle multiple alarm events.
This is a UIQ 3 example on how to use the alarm server to manage alarms. By using a client-side interface to the alarm server, the example application can add and remove alarms as well as request notifications for alarm changes. The alarm server takes care of notifying the user when an alarm expires. The application sets the details for each alarm in a dialog derived from CQikViewDialog. Alarms can be set to expire with the following interval: Once, within 24 hours, daily, all workdays and weekly. The details dialog uses a sound selector control (CQikSoundSelector) allowing the user to choose the appropriate sound for each alarm. Each alarm also optionally includes a message displayed to the user when the alarm expires.
