unparalleled access to Alltel’s network
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, today announced
the launch of their Business Solutions Partner (BSP) program. The BSP program
is designed to assist Alltel’s development partners in getting their mobile business
solutions to market faster and more cost efficiently. BSPs can now tap into the
power of Alltel’s wireless data network for their vertical B2B marketing data
solutions. The first new company to join the program is Edulog, a leader in school
district transportation technologies.
As part of the program, Alltel’s well-trained business sales team will prospect
and collaborate with BSPs to promote their offerings and help sell data products
and services. By utilizing BSPs, Alltel is able to offer customized advanced data
solutions to solve a customer’s unique communications challenges. All developers
will have their products displayed on www.alltelsolutions.com, thus generating
additional exposure and potential sales leads.
With access to Alltel’s national data footprint at wholesale rates, partners
have an opportunity to reduce operating costs, while increasing the speed of product
deployment through the use of an automated activation system. In addition, Alltel
will provide BSPs with technical support and assistance in the certification of
devices for use on the Alltel network.
“Alltel Wireless is proud to offer such a robust solution to participants in
our Business Solutions Partner program,” said Wade McGill, senior vice president
of product management for Alltel Wireless. “Reducing cost and time to market are
two of the most critical elements in product deployment, and our new program will
help ease the way for our developers, while increasing the opportunity for sales.”
Edulog, Alltel's newest BSP, is working to improve the efficiency of school transportation
with the solutions that they provide to school districts across the country. By
utilizing Alltel's powerful network, they are able to provide school districts
with real-time information for school bus and student tracking as well as importing
GPS data back into routing software for enhanced bus route optimization. Companies
