TOKYO, July 30, 2007—Red Bend Software Japan K.K. (located in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President Kazuhiro Abe), the market leader in Mobile Software Management and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) update solutions for mobile phones and wireless modules, today announced a licensing agreement with SANYO® Electric to use Red Bend’s device management client software suite in mobile phones manufactured by SANYO.

 Under the agreement, SANYO has licensed Red Bend’s RDM™ client suite – an Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Device Management (DM) compliant and interoperable solution for mobile phones and wireless devices – for its CDMA mobile phones. The Red Bend DM client suite allows mobile operators and handset manufacturers to remotely manage mobile devices in the field. It is standards-based software that works with any OMA DM server to enable remote configuration, provisioning, diagnostics and updating of mobile phones over the air (OTA).
