Mobileplay and blueapple.mobi Make Video Personal Print E-mail
Written by Mobileplay
Tuesday, 24 July 2007

Mobileplay users can now post their favorite videos from around the Internet to personal WAP 2.0 pages thanks to collaboration with blueapple.mobi.

From Mobileplay.com, users are able to search over 10 million video clips and save the ones they like with a single click.

Bands and producers can find their own videos on sites like YouTube or Metacafe using this capability and promote them via Mobilplay.  Video bloggers can add their own work to personal pages, and individual users can share videos of parties or trips, or the funniest thing they saw on YouTube that week.  In all cases, there is no need to worry about video formatting, user location, or network capability – blueapple.mobi handles all the heavy lifting.

James Ryan, CEO of Mobileplay spoke about the new product on Monday, “Whether it’s a music video from their favorite band, a home movie from their vacation, or just a dog on a skateboard, what we watch and what we show our friends is a huge part of who we are.  The Mobileplay community is about expressing your individuality and we’re thrilled that blueapple’s technology can make that happen for our users with a single click.”

“blueapple.mobi was designed to help users find and share the wealth of video already on the Internet,” said Scott Miller, VP Business Development of blueapple.mobi.  “We are happy to be working with Mobileplay to allow mobile users to express themselves and communicate in new ways.”
