LOD, Israel--MobiMate Ltd. announced today a new release of WorldMate Professional
– the “Swiss Army Knife” of travel applications, now tailored for Nokia E90 Communicator.
Nokia E90 Communicator users can breeze through travel arrangements, by having
critical travel information immediately available to them. With the release of
WorldMate Professional for S60, vital information including flight schedules and
status, weather forecasts and currency exchange rates can be integrated into Nokia
E90 Communicator and other Nokia Eseries business devices.
WorldMate 2007 for S60 will be bundled with the Nokia E90 Communicator as well
as other Nokia Eseries devices. Services including worldwide weather forecasts,
weathercaster, world clocks, a currency converter with an online exchange rate
service and world day/night map will be available to end-users for free. Premium
services such as Real-Time Flight Status, Flight Schedules and Satellite Weather
Imagery will require a paid subscription to WorldMate Professional.
WorldMate Professional for S60 features a range of services including worldwide
flight schedules supporting over 800 airlines including direct and connected flights,
real-time flight delay, gate and baggage claim information for over 75 leading
airlines, worldwide weather forecasts, currency exchange rates and more. The new
version also boasts the Weathercaster service – an audio-visual weather forecast
"push" service, which made its debut earlier this year on Nokia S60 phones.
"Many Nokia Communicator users are savvy globe-trotters who can make the most
of our business travel services. Through working with Nokia we are able to introduce
them to WorldMate and further increase the value they get from their Nokia Eseries
business devices," stated Nadav Gur, MobiMate's CEO.
Mika Laitinen, Director of Partner Programs, Mobility Solution, Enterprise Solutions,
Nokia, stated, "Nokia E90 Communicator, with integrated GPS, WiFi and 3G is ideal
for business people on the move, and WorldMate is an essential supplement to those
wishing to travel light."
