UIQ Technology has announced the availability of the final version of the SDK for UIQ 3.1, the platform version used in the forthcoming Motorola MOTORIZR Z8.
UIQ Technology makes the UIQ Software Development Kit for Symbian OS (UIQ SDK) available, for free, to software developers and organizations creating applications and services for mobile phones that incorporate the UIQ 3 platform and Symbian OS. Application development in both C++ and Java is supported.
The UIQ SDK contains binaries and tools for building and deploying applications, comprehensive reference and guidance material, examples, and a PC-based emulator to enable fast development turn-around times. The same code can run on multiple phone configurations (with or without flip, landscape or portrait, touchscreen or not, etc.) with minimal or no changes, thus increasing the lifecycle of applications and content.
The UIQ SDK contains the tools developers need to compile applications for the PC emulator and all the UIQ 3 phones.
To get the UIQ 3.1 final SDKs visit the SDK Download page.
For information of new features in the 3.1 SDK see "What's new in 3.1"
in the UIQ Developer Library. |
