The Platform Promise: S60 Devices From Samsung - Java technology was heralded as write-once-run-everywhere - we know the reality was somewhat different. As the first Samsung S60 devices arrive in the SymbianOne offices Richard Bloor asks if the S60 platform serves Symbian C++ developers better. In this article Bloor tests the Samsung SGH-G810, SGH-I550, SGH-L870, and SGH-I8510 (INNOV8) S60 devices.

Make Your Fingers Happy and Phone Data Safer with New Software Companion for Nokia Phones Print E-mail
Written by Oxygen Software
Sunday, 06 May 2007
Oxygen Software has announced the immediate availability of Oxygen Express for Nokia phones 1.6, a handy tool that enables Nokia phone owners to quickly move content between two phones, back up phone data to PC for safekeeping, restore content from a backup file, and erase personal information securely from the phone you are planning to sell.

Moscow, Russia. - May 03, 2007: According to Nike Golubev, PR Manager at Oxygen Software, Oxygen Express for Nokia phones was inspired by the engineers, developing the company’s premier product - Oxygen Phone Manager. “Oxygen Phone Manager included every personalization feature users love: add or change contacts, manage caller groups, import graphics and ringtones and many more. At some moment, we realized that in terms of functionality the program had made a big leap forward and became complicated for beginners. This is how the idea to create Oxygen Express appeared. Now we offer the tool, which is simple, quick, and handy. Even users who are not exposed to computer technologies can easily understand how to use it.”

Oxygen Express for Nokia phones offers users the following key benefits:

Easy phones switching. Version 1.6 of Oxygen Express for Nokia phones introduces a new amazing option, called ‘Migrate’. Designed as a wizard, it lets users move content from one mobile phone to another with a few mouse clicks. This option is sure to make fingers happy because instead of manual input, it’s now possible to automatically move reminders, contacts, ringtones, and wallpapers to a ‘clean’ phone. Besides, there is no need to buy wallpapers and ringtones that users already purchased for their old phone because the ‘Migrate’ option will help move them to a new phone with ease.

Quick backup of phone data for safekeeping on PC and restoration when needed. Oxygen Express lets users back up data to a file on PC and protect it by a secure password. In case the phone has been lost or stolen, or a new one has been bought, it’s possible to restore backup data with a touch of a few buttons in mere minutes. Another advantage of this option is additional freedom because storing backups on PC allows users to delete some files from the phone when more memory is needed.

Gain peace of mind. Erase personal data securely. This option is critical when users decide to sell the old mobile phone or give it to somebody else. The erased data is gone forever and cannot be restored using even the most advanced data recovery software.

Pricing and Availability

Oxygen Express for Nokia phones 1.6 requires Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista and costs €24.95 for a single-user license. Additional information on the product, as well as its evaluation copy is available from www.oxygensoftware.com.
