GoDB Tech to partner with Symbian to develop mobile applications Print E-mail

GoDB Tech has developed a platform ”GoDB” which assists rapid development of wireless applications & services for leading smart phones.  The GoDB platform currently supports S60 and UIQ software on Symbian OS.

Chennai, 7th February 2007 - GoDB Tech Pvt Ltd, a Chennai based Enterprise Mobility Platform Company, today announced that the company has joined the Symbian Platinum Program. This move is to support the growing market for Symbian smartphones and extending GoDB’s platform to the Symbian ecosystem.  Symbian develops and licenses Symbian OS, the market leading OS for smartphones. 

GoDB Tech has developed a platform ”GoDB” which assists rapid development of wireless applications & services for leading smart phones. Using GoDB Platform, developers can reduce the development cycle and shorten the time taken from development stage to the market. GoDB based applications have been deployed at Leading Enterprises in India like ICICI Group, HDFC Limited, HLL, 3M etc.

The GoDB platform currently supports S60 and UIQ software on Symbian OS. As a Platinum Partner, GoDB will work with Symbian to offer: -

a) Enterprise mobility solutions for enterprise customers
b) After market applications targeting end consumers to be sourced through operators, device vendors, ISVs

Symbian will enable GoDB Tech to extend its solution to the above segments through the Symbian ecosystem which includes the leading handset manufactures, network operators and ISVs. According to Mr. Raja Raman CEO of GoDB Tech “With this partnership we will aggressively pursue the opportunity to deploy GoDB based applications on the millions of Symbian smartphones in the market.”
