Page Zapper(TM) easily copies profile pages from MySpace(TM) Facebook (TM) and
others to send to mobile phones
CINCINNATI, April 30 -- GotZapp, a new mobile social networking platform from
Trivantis®, does more than send exclusive user-created content from its Web site
to Web-enabled mobile phones; users can now use the Page Zapper to import their
profile page from the most popular social networking sites on the web.
With this new feature, GotZapp subscribers can easily transfer their profile
page information from a variety of social networking sites, including: MySpace(TM),
Facebook(TM), Beebo(TM), Cyworld(TM) and TagWorld(TM). It only takes a few simple
steps to download the profile – including photos and text - from the Web to a
GotZapp user account.
Once the information is downloaded, users can quickly convert it directly to
a Zapp or enlist the help of Zirada (TM) Mobile Content Creator to make more complex
changes. They can then transmit it as a single file to any mobile phone that accepts
third-party Java applications.
"Now anyone with a profile on MySpace or Facebook can easily copy that profile
directly into a GotZapp account,” said Tim Loudermilk, company founder and chief
software architect. "Users can use the Page Zapper to maintain a consistent identity
and persona across multiple platforms when sending Zapps to their friends. That
allows them to spend more time socializing and less time duplicating information.”
Access to the GotZapp social network and Zirada mobile content creator is available
for free at www.gotzapp.com. GotZapp uses Java-based technology, which means that the vast majority of cell
phones and computers in use today already have the technology needed to use these
impressive tools.
All Cingular and Sprint customers can access Zapps remotely from their Web-enabled
mobile phones. T-Mobile customers can access Zapps remotely from their Web-enabled
mobile phones if they subscribe to a data plan. Verizon customers and all other
users can create, send and view Zapps from the GotZapp website at www.gotzapp.com. While GotZapp is free, standard carrier data fees apply. Individual users should
check with their carrier to learn more about how to access the internet via their
mobile phone and any applicable fees.
