for 4Q06. Covered in the report are shipments of mobile devices, camera phones,
and smartphones. The third quarter continued to remain strong in device shipments,

Nokia remained in the lead of worldwide distribution, with Motorola holding a
strong second place; Samsung finishing third this quarter; Sony Ericsson holding
fourth place; and LG Electronics rounding out the top five handset manufacturers.

- Smartphone growth continues, especially in Europe. Symbian continues to lead
the smartphone operating system arena with more than 70% of market share.
- A majority of all handsets shipped in 4Q06 were based on demand from India
and Latin America.
- Asia/Pacific has accounted for 49% of mobile device shipments for all three
quarters in 2006.
- Shipments of camera phones represented 48% of all mobile device shipments in
2006.
