A note from Nokia reps this week informs us that the Nokia viNe application will be rolled out of Beta soon... possibly even this week. viNe is a web service that enables users of the application to share their journeys, along with media collected along the way. As a long-time Sports Tracker user, N95 enthusiasts, and evangelist of all things mobile and geospatial, I was provided with a pre-release version of viNe - details and a complete "How To" install and use the application are provided... enjoy! Enter Nokia viNe 101
It was back in June 2008 that the E71 was officially released to the public - the selling points for the E71 were a sleek, stylish do-it-all device that came with Mail for Exchange mobile email client - pre-loaded with the Nokia E71. Actually, the device boasted much much more than these attributes as you'll see below in my findings after having the pleasure of making the E71 my main device for 3 weeks... enjoy the recap, the images and the videos!
Registration is now open for Ornage Partner Camp at Cape Canaveral, 16-18 April 2007. In addition to the usual networking, this event will host the live launch of the Orange Application Shop.
As this Partner Camp marks the live launch of the Application Shop, Orange are keen on fast-tracking Orange Partner members through to premium membership, reviewing their applications, discussing contract terms, taking them through Orange Compatibility testing there and then, and granting them the Orange Compatibility endorsement. Ornage belives the Application Shop needs to be full of commercially-viable applications, so wants to work with it partners over the three days to achieve this. For those of developers who are part-way through the process, Ornage will help them complete it at the event.
In line with the Application Shop, the rest of the event will also focus on ‘commercialisation opportunities’, providing attendees with details of how France Telecom will work with its partners, to provide them with the commercial and technical information and training to deliver.
The event also brings together a group of FT employees responsible for searching-out new concepts and finished ideas.
Attendees will be able to meet them through pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings, group discussion, and by entering the Orange Partner Camp contest.
Partner Camp costs $595 for three days and two nights, together with food and entertainment. Places for the event, as always, are limited, and this will be the only opportunity to attend an Orange Partner Camp in 2007!
